VW e-camper (Master Degree Work 2009)
The lifestyle 2-seater which could be used for sleeping.
The design is mostly influenced by the transformation between the driving and sleeping mode. The space which is not needed during the journey is deflated and expands when is needed for sleeping.
The architecture "everything in the wheels" allows to play with the space for passengers. There was a few important facts from the beginning. Luggage space is kind of minimalized to 70 litres of luggage for each passenger. Should be enough for 1-week trip. Also from the beginning there was important the package of the 2-person tent. But the car itself fits to the dimensions of the average B-segment car.
When the body expands it is covered by the textile and interior is accessible then from the rear end by zippered "door" (like on the tent).
The color concept was chosen to be closer to the outdoor products.
The windshield is permanently covered by the nano-textile which allows the passengers to see through but nobody could see in from the outside..
